New Book Shows You HOW TO NOT ONLY ENDURE ATTACKS FROM TROLLS AND HATERS, but embrace, enjoy and profit from them! Introducing...

LIVING IN A BAN

DOWN BY THE RIVER

"I'd finally had enough. I was basically broke, but I would no longer take abuse from people while trying to grow my business," says this former Cobol programmer turned online business owner.

"I started standing up for myself, and something amazing happened. I became much happier of course, but also much more profitable. I built one of the most incredible audiences a business owner could ask for. Some might call it raving fans."

Former COBOL Programmer turned author, Ray Brehm releases new book

"It became easier to sell, and people started appreciating what I was doing."

Dear Friend,

If you want to enjoy your business more, make more money, build your ideal audience and actually "gamify" the haters, then this letter will show you how.

Here's the story:

I published a book called...

"Living In A BAN Down By The River"

And what this book does is, shows you how to change your mindset about trolls and haters from DREAD to WELCOME. Now, every time I get a nastygram, I welcome it. There are many benefits including: removing the wrong people from my list (permanently), creating content for emails, and accumulating hilarious stories to tell (in books like this).

It also ensures that I am doing something right. When you are moving forward, having success and doing the right things, you will attract trolls, haters and the nasties.

But there are quite a bit more benefits. In the book, you will...

  • Discover the counterintuitive rule for dealing with "ankle-biters" and why it’s your secret weapon to success.

  • Learn why ignoring the “customer is always right” mantra might be the best move for your business. In fact, I start with the opposite premise.

  • Uncover the surprising way bad reviews can actually boost your credibility and sales. When you learn this, you will realize you use this all the time as a consumer without knowing it.

  • Find out the psychological reason trolls attack—and how to turn their negativity into a growth tool.

  • Learn the one question that instantly determines whether someone is a fit for your program.

  • The shocking truth about unsolicited advice and why it reveals more about the giver than you!

  • Unveil the ultimate “BAN tactic” for filtering out toxic clients and audiences before they poison your brand.

  • Why setting boundaries might be the most profitable thing you do this year.

  • The secret "Heisman Rule” and how it can save you from emotional burnout.

  • Discover why being “too credentialed” is a huge red flag.

  • The dark side of virtue signaling and how to spot it in your interactions with clients and partners.

  • Why a simple “no” is the most underused tool in business negotiations.

  • Learn the art of stoicism and how to automate it in your work.

  • Learn why “children in adult bodies” are the most toxic people on the planet.

  • The unexpected link between great storytelling and setting strong business boundaries.

  • Why a poorly written email can reveal the best insights about your audience’s psychology.

  • The “Green Hair Principle” and why it makes all the difference in handling online criticism.

  • Discover the red flag email subject line that always ends with a refund.

  • Learn how to “pre-ban” potential nightmare clients before they even reach your inbox.

  • The chilling truth behind unsolicited gifts—and why they might cost you more than you think.

  • Find out why even free offers can make some people irrationally angry—and what to do about it.

  • The one-word email response that instantly neutralizes toxic communications.

  • Discover why setting your “One Rule to Rule Them All” is the ultimate game-changer for your business.

Make no mistake:

Every time you stand up for yourself, you are adding to your permanent character profile. You become stronger, as does your business.

Sometimes that is hard, especially if you need the money.

In one case, I had to weigh paying my mortgage and my bills, or putting up with a guy who was treating me like dirt. The amount in question? $3500.

That was a huge sum of money for me at the time. But I decided my stress, state of mind and honor was not worth it.

The problem was, the money had already been spent.

So over the weekend, I took a couple of gold coins I had and sold them for cash at a gold dealer. On Monday morning, I deposited the cash at the bank, went home and hit the refund button.

What I thought would feel scary, turned out to be one where I beamed with pride. I was in a horrible financial situation, but I chose me. And in essence, I encountered a bad customer and instead of tolerating abuse...

I paid gold to get rid of him!

What I learned along the way is this, when you clear out the bad energy, you will get swamped with good. In this business, that means when you remove the nasties, whether simply from your list or from purchasing, that one will immediately be replaced with multiple very nice people, and many of them amazing clients.

Just the way the universe works I guess.

What is incredible is how many ways this benefits you beyond clearing out the bad energy. Confidence, sales and raving fans are part of this huge upside. Not only that but...

you the book also shares...

  • Why some people accuse you of “bait and switch” and how to respond and remove them with confidence.

  • Learn the unexpected way setting firm boundaries increases client respect. It is hard to describe just how well this works, and how good it feels once you experience it.

  • The secret behind why trolls never seem satisfied, even when you accommodate them. This is why I created the book in the first place. It is akin to the saying "You have created a monster."

  • How to recognize a “Sleeper Cell” customer who’s waiting to cause chaos. May be one of the most important things you can learn to save your sanity and your business.

  • Why asking people to “prove they’re serious” helps eliminate toxic interactions. "Prove it to me" isn't just a one way street. Learn to recognize when someone is just trying to get you to jump through hoops for them.

  • The shocking reason some people demand free help—and why you should never give in. It is human nature to want to help people as much as you can, but you are doing a disservice to both of you.

  • How so-called “Greedy Gus” emails reveal deeper insecurities—and how to handle them.

  • Discover why some people resent your success and how to use their negativity as fuel.

  • The surprising way humorous responses defuse toxic criticism.

  • Identifying red flags early saves you from massive headaches later. Do you have a list?

  • Why some people think they “deserve” extra consideration—and how to gracefully say no. And when to say it forcefully.

  • The one personality type that never respects your rules—and why they need to go. Once you learn this, you will start to spot them a mile away.

  • Why certain phrases in emails scream “refund me now” and how to spot them instantly.

  • How to create a filter for your inbox that automatically screens out negativity. This is an incredible way to prevent future nastygrams.

  • The surprising reason setting higher prices reduces problem clients. You may "know" this, and not actually practice it yet. When you do, it will make your day.

  • How one simple change to your welcome email can prevent 80% of client complaints. Then make one simple change to your sending habits, and you can all but clear out 95% of the nasties.

  • Discover the hidden signals that reveal someone will likely cause trouble later. The Big Three major signals are must-learns for your survival.

  • The shocking truth about why free advice almost never works. This still blows me away, until I realized it is true about me from a customer perspective.

  • Why sharing personal boundaries makes you more relatable and respected. This is the complete opposite of what you would expect. But the effects are glorious.

  • The surprising way using humor in your emails can transform even the harshest critics. And if it doesn't, that might be even better.

  • Why the phrase “help me understand” is a game-changer in difficult conversations. Use this one early and often.

  • The surprising reason virtual summits attract some of the most entitled participants—and how to handle them. This does not mean avoid virtual summits, quite the opposite. But you need to be aware of the slight uptick, and deal with it appropriately.

  • Why banning trolls might be the best marketing decision you ever make. This will become crystal clear very early on in the book.

  • The secret to writing emails that repel the wrong people and attract the right ones. I actually use this in all of my writing and media now, and it works like gangbusters.

  • Discover why long, rambling emails often signal a deeper problem—and how to spot it. This is something I learned from Vox Day, who writes quite a bit about human interaction via his Socio-Sexual Hierarchy. But once you learn it, you can almost see where every email is going when you first open it.

  • How to gracefully exit conversations with people who “just don’t get it.” A simple 4 word replay will save the day.

  • The unexpected reason some clients demand discounts—and why you should never offer them. There are moral and legal reasons not to.

  • How to identify the “serial complainer” and why they’ll never be happy. Use this simple litmus test

  • Discover the one phrase that instantly shifts power back to you in any negotiation.

And I can guarantee without a doubt I will get haters for this book. People do not like getting called out on their behavior.

Plus there will be others, that despite the warning will exclaim...

"This Book is EXPENSIVE !"

Which they would be absolutely correct about.

I am declaring it right now. This book will be too expensive for all but a small part of my audience. As with nearly everything, you get what you pay for. That is why I don't sell in on Amazon. That is where bargain shoppers go.

This information is what I share with the cream of the crop in my audience.

When I was finalizing the release of this book, I brought up the topic to my the inner circle of peeps in one of our Pubfunnels™ coaching calls.

I mentioned I did not know if people cared or not, because I wrote the book for me first.

Pubfunnels™ Power User Elaine Ebersole raised her hand, and said,

"You know what you are doing with this Ray? You are...

"Giving Women Confidence to

Stand Up for Themselves"

I can tell you, that little comment pushed me to get this book done sooner than planned. If all it does is help Women (and everyone, in fact) have confidence in setting boundaries and standing up for themselves, it will all be worth while.

If you want to enjoy your business more, make more money, build your ideal audience and actually "gamify" the haters, I think you will like this book. If hearing "troll stories" entertains you, that's even better. I know my favorite type of email to read, is when my mentors and heroes stand up and stop tolerating the nonsense.

Ray Brehm

P.S. IMPORTANT: Here are a couple things you should know.

  • This book is expensive. And it is definitely not for everyone. In fact, it really is only meant to serve the most ambitious of my audience. If it is not for you, that is ok.

  • There are no refunds on anything you purchase here. If for some reason a book does not make it to you, we will, of course, send another.

  • There is a good chance I have shared at least some of the stories or information in this book with you already; via emails, courses, or other media. So take that into account when making your purchasing decision.

  • The information contained here is how I run my business. One size doesn't fit all. But it should give you an idea on what rules you want to implement in your business.

  • This is NOT a tactical checklist. This is a story/entertainment-based book sharing what I have encountered, how I handled it, and what rules I created. If you are looking for a step-by-step guide, this is not it.

  • This is currently pre-order. It does not start shipping until Jan 15, 2025. If that is too long to wait to purchase at a discount, feel free to wait until later.

But what it does do for those who take the information to heart...

  • Gives you confidence to stand up for yourself.

  • Removes the fear of growing an audience and growing your business.

  • Helps you realize, that everyone, no matter how big or small, deals with this in some form. I just pull back the curtain and show you how I deal with the dark side of things. AND how I gamify it to make it fun, and make me money.

  • Every time someone gives me trouble, I am one step further in my amazing journey.

  • And they get a one-way ticket to a BAN Down By The River.
